Richard Currie Managing Director |
With almost 20 years at TMC , Richard transformed TMC from a Christchurch-based manufacturer into a nationwide operation with established service centres in Auckland and Hamilton. Under his leadership, the business has broadened its capabilities, strengthened customer support across the country, and adapted to an increasingly competitive and evolving transport industry.
Richard brings commercial discipline and strategic insight from his early career in multinational FMCG companies, combining that experience with a highly practical, hands-on leadership style. As the third generation to lead the family business, Richard is proud of the strong team culture that exists across TMC’s 70+ staff. His focus remains on quality, reliability, and building long-term relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry partners. |
Tim Calder General manager - manufacturing |
As General Manager - Tim oversees the manufacturing team at our Christchurch site. With a background in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Aided Design, he spent seven years in the TMC design team, gaining deep insight into both product design and the transport industry. Tim brings strong technical expertise and leadership to a team that takes pride in delivering high-quality trailers and truck decks, backed by excellent customer service and a reputation built over 77 years. |

Claire brings a wealth of experience to her role as National Service & Repair Manager at TMC Trailers. With a background in engineering and leadership roles across the transport sector, including since joining TMC in 2017, she ensures top-tier service delivery across three branches. Claire is committed to operational excellence, team development, and long-term customer satisfaction. |

Fiona has been with TMC for over 10 years, growing alongside the company and playing a key role in its day-to-day operations. As Finance Manager, she keeps everything running smoothly, managing budgets, forecasts, and overseeing administration processes. With over 40 years in the Transport Manufacturing Industry, Anthony has earned a reputation for precision, reliability, and high standards. A qualified Fitter/Welder, he brings strong technical and operational expertise to trailer manufacturing. For the past 11 years, he has led TMC’s operations, focusing on customer satisfaction, product quality, and continuous improvement. His hands-on experience and ability to manage complex builds and large teams make him a critical part of TMC’s ongoing success. |
Paul (Skippy) Goodman SALES consultant |
With more than 38 years in the Transport Industry and over 27 years in trailer sales, Skippy brings a wealth of experience and insight to his role. He has spent the past 22 years with TMC Trailers, where he is known for his unwavering commitment to customer service and his deep industry knowledge. Skippy’s hands-on background and long-standing relationships across the sector make him a trusted advisor to his customers. His expertise, reliability, and dedication to delivering the right solutions have helped position TMC as a leader in the trailer market |
Matt van Pomeren design team leader |
Matt has been with TMC for over a decade, rising through the ranks from Design Engineer to managing the Drawing Office. Prior to joining TMC, he gained valuable experience designing agricultural equipment. Meticulous by nature, Matt enjoys tackling complex problems and crafting creative, practical solutions for customers. His technical expertise and innovative thinking are key assets to TMC’s engineering team. |
Stephen (Mille) Millichamp Auckland service centre manager |
Stephen Millichamp, known as Mille, began his career in 1989 at Helmack Engineering, working in transport and general engineering, and has remained in the industry ever since. Since joining TMC in 2005, Mille has worked his way up from the shop floor, leading teams in both the Christchurch manufacturing department and now managing service operations in Auckland. He brings deep technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and a practical leadership style to his role. |
George Lambrinoudakis Hamilton service centre manager |
George began his career in the transport industry at 17, completing an apprenticeship at Steelbro Trailers and gaining hands-on experience with heavy transport and earthmoving equipment. George spent 10 years at TRT, working in and managing their trailer repair bay, before joining TMC in 2021. He now leads the Hamilton team with a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer service. |

Desmond Cowley, known as Des. A qualified auto electrician, Des owned and operated his own business in South Africa for 21 years, covering both electrical and mechanical repairs. Since joining TMC in 2018, he has progressed from the shop floor to team leader, later overseeing quality assurance in the manufacturing department before stepping into his current leadership role. With 33 years of experience in the transport industry, Des brings a strong technical background and is dedicated to delivering excellent customer service from start to finish. |
